The History of Cypress Inn Restaurant

The original Cypress Inn restaurant was established in September of 1972 by Earnest Jackson. The restaurant was located on the shores of Cypress Lake in Benton,LA. The ownership was handed down in 1986 to the son of Earnest Jackson,Mike Jackson. The restaurant has since burned down in October of 2002 and The original owner, Earnest Jackson, passed away in August of 2004. The original site is still available today for outdoor gatherings, special events, weddings and more with catering available through Cypress Inn Catering, owned by the grandson of Earnest Jackson, Reese Jackson.

Reese Jackson has recently opened, in November of 2008, a new Cypress Inn restaurant located on Airline Drive in Bossier City, LA. Reese, being a 3rd generation restaurant entrepreneur, has a very successful catering business that was started in 2006, which of course, is properly named Cypress Inn Catering. Future plans for the restaurant include, with the help of customers and a 3rd generation name behind him, moving to the original site and continuing his grandfathers dream.
